10 creative ideas on how to decorate your garden, by recycling.

Summer is the most celebrated season, because summer it is more associated with life, birth and rebirth when plants blossom, and animal life reassumes activity and nature feels alive again. We are now halfway through summer and then autumn will come, to refresh us with its crisp air and dreamy nature.

All seasons are magnificent but autumn is the most wonderful season of all. The temperature is just perfect, streets turn into colourful pictures as people drive to work, and the leaves into a melancholic and romantic reminder of another season gone by. What do I think when I hear the word autumn? I think of crisp refreshing air, mountains full of warm colours and people walking on a sea of leaves. Trees don’t hold hands anymore but seem to march in a melancholic solitude when we drive past them. Leaves change from green to orange, and from red to yellow. It is still a great season to enjoy and decorate your garden and celebrate the beauty of life.

If you are a lover of both summer and autumn, follow me below with some garden decorations tips for this summer and autumn.

1. Lantern with flowers

Decorate your old lantern with flowers when having friends over for breakfast, lunch or tea.

2. Make a vertical garden out of an old pallet

The vertical garden on a pallet, creates a natural and chic area.

3. Paint and decorate your old bench

The floral fantasy gives a romantic feel to the outdoor area. If you find it hard to paint the flowers, a plain white bench works well too.

4. A little well for your little wishes

Decorate it with candles and floating flowers

5. Make shelves out of old fruit crates

This one of my most favourite garden decorations.

6. Candle holders out of recycled old jars

Hang your recycled jars and place candles in them.

7. Garden umbrella hand decorated

Use a white umbrella and decorate it with leaves made out of fabric. Use glue to stick them on it.

8. Another way how to decorate an umbrella

9. Paper lanterns with butterflies

Get crafty and make some butterflies out of paper and stick them on the paper lanterns.

10. Old chairs painted and decorated

Paint and decorate an old chairs with a garland of flowers. It will make your garden look special.

Future focus: Rendition Homes Innovate at Lightsview

Architectural creativity and a keen interest in liveability come together in Rendition Homes' new waterfront display home at Lightsview.

The two-storey, three - bedroom house, which was designed in collaboration with the renowned architects at Tectvs, is at the very top end of Rendition's range and takes its inspiration from an on-trend Californian, mid-century aesthetic. Managing Director of Rendition Homes, Wayne Fazzalari, says Lightsview is the only suburb where it makes sense for his company to build a home of this type.

"I wouldn't invest this much money in a new development anywhere else in Adelaide", he says. "But in Lightsview, with the water aspect, this environment and the proximity to the CBD its a worthwhile investment."

Located alongside the lake and wetlands of Lightsview's Waterford percent, the home takes full advantage of it's positioning with one frontage addressing the water view and the other addressing the street. Set into each frontage is an outdoor entertainment area, meaning the home has double the usual allocation of outdoor space.

This significant feature translates into the interior of the home where the views over the two courtyards lend a feeling of spaciousness to every room in the home.

"As soon as you walk in the front door you see straight through to the back outdoor area and then your view just keeps going on out over the water. It's seamless, "says Wayne. "because of the nature of the house - with the double frontage and the reserve to the rear - everywhere you look you see out. You're always looking through to something else."

A cohesive material and interior-design palette uses natural textures juxtaposed with industrial fittings to complement the connection the home has to its external environment.

The master bedroom's ensuite is a particularly strong example of this styling at work. The black Caroma bath is a leading element in a room that also includes feature tiles, matte black taper and pendant lights.

Wayne says the home will serve as an example to visitors of Rendition Homes' ability to be innovative and practical at the same time, whilst designing a home that suits a person's specific needs.

"Buying a house is an emotional thing," he says. "It's about creating the right feel in the home but also giving people what they want within their budget - in this market you have to be otherwise you'll fall behind."

Every home is a story. Create your own.

Every home is a story... of people that identify themselves with it and is part of its creation. To build and furnish a home is like telling your own story, made of projects, choices, personal taste, solutions... to discover each time something new.

When furnishing a home that has just been built, one can follow various furnishing trends and get inspired from different gorgeous interiors to create a home that is different and stylish, yet tells your story... But to have a true personalised home, it is very important to have the architect involved from the very beginning or, like with Rendition Homes custom homes, design your home yourself. Rendition Homes gives you the option to start your story with the freedom to be creative and design your own custom home. Once you have designed your home, we give you a personalised expert advice from an interior decorator, because one of the most exciting parts of building a new home, is finalising the details – the colour, the style and the personality of your home.

Rendition homes made a shining success of this couple’s diamond shaped block.

Sarah and Jason wanted a design that maximised the space on their irregular-shaped block. The allotment was “tricky” as it was diamond shaped.  “We had been to two or three builders and looked at their display homes, and soon realised that builders were saying ‘it’s what we’re showing you or nothing’ or they were charging really excessive prices” Sarah says. “We had to find a happy medium.”

The couple found what they were looking for with Rendition Homes.  “Rendition sat with us and told us we could start from scratch”, Sarah says. They were the first builder to let us know that.” The couple ended up with a custom design that has up to four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and open-plan kitchen-dining/living, walk-in pantry, plenty of storage space and a double garage. “We didn’t want to waste any space”, Sarah says. “It made sense to build as large as the house could be possible on the block. It worked out well.

Also high on the list when it came to designing was a master bedroom in its own wing “so we could be separated from the other bedrooms when we have children or guests staying over, we wanted our own space” and hidden his and hers walk-in robes. “You walk behind the bedhead wall and there are robes on either side,” she says. “It’s not a huge room but it feels more luxurious to be able to walk on either side, it feels more spacious than having a built-in robe. And it’s much cleaner and tidier not seeing them.” The two walk-ins are also separated from each other. “You can’t walk between them,” Sarah says. “It gives more storage. Directly behind the (bedhead) wall I’ve got plenty of storage for my shoes.”

Sarah says the standard range offered by Rendition Homes is “very high” but they did make some upgrades. “They offer quality Miele appliances in the kitchen,” Sarah says, adding that they upgraded to a CaesarStone benchtop and a sink that sits flushed. The home has up to four bedrooms. The couple added doors to the formal dining/loungeroom at the front of the house rather than leave it open as is commonly done, in case they wanted to use it for another purpose such as a fourth bedroom in the future.
“Down the track it would’ve been more expensive to put doors on,” Sarah says. (Kasia Ozog)

Sunday Mail featuring The stunning Brampton

                                         www.renditionhomes.com.au

                                 A Brilliant Blend

A Custom - built home at an affordable price point is a dream many of us would like to fulfil. Adding your personality into a design, so you can live how you and your family want, is something that should always be considered. One of the latest display homes to open at Evanston South, The Brampton by Rendition Homes is a custom design inspired by the needs of clients who want to blend luxury with affordability, says Rendition's marketing co-ordinator Juri Pali."Our customers wanted an affordable, luxury, custom facade and, based on their initial feedback, we feel that we have certainly achieved all the above, " she says.

Starting from $200,000, this four- bedroom, two bathroom design has a spacious footprint of 268.93 sqm, and with 2.7m ceilings, it creates a home with a fabulous sense of space. "From the moment you walk through the front door, you get a delightful feel about the home," Juri says. "Having raised 3m ceiling to the entry area, it gives you the sense of space, and as an added feature on the left is the home theatre room with a dropped bulkhead."

Perfect as a first, second or third home for families, The Brampton offers a mix of luxurious finishes, good balance and clever thinking. And in keeping with this mantra, the home's six-star rating, the use of insulation and LED lighting throughout and north-facing living areas, means it's a sustainable home for ongoing living. The Brampton's front exterior is a good example of the luxurious touches in the home. Half the front has been rendered in Solver's Cafe au Lait, and the other half has elegant travertine stone tiles, which give it a high-end look. This level of style continues inside through the entry and into the combined family/meals and kitchen zone. This will be a conventional space for social occasions as the layout encourages easy dining and the space opens out through wide doors to the alfresco area.

A dropped bulkhead defines the long galley-style  kitchen, which features a bank of cupboards in a fresh, white gloss with a glossy black splash back for impact, and stainless steel appliances. For contrast, a woodgrain laminate in a sublime Teak Riven is used on the island bench and finished with a 20mm Smartstone bench top in Merengo. Topping it all off is a huge walk-in-pantry with access to the double garage. "Once you've passed the entry, you walk into the open living area. The kitchen is  truly a feature point," Juri says."As visitors walk through and enter the main living area, they are truly amazed. They love the space, the size and look of the kitchen. They really love the butler's pantry and how the access from the double garage is straight into the pantry".

Not to be forgotten are the bedrooms, three of which feature high, long windows for privacy and security, and all have wardrobes. "The bedrooms are of a decent size to allow for desks in the children's bedrooms, and having two living areas for families always works well," Juri says.

At the front of the home, the spacious master suite has an extra-large walk-in robe, and a stunning ensuite with double vanities and a large double shower. (Trudy Oram)
